The update basically adds Yosemite support and stability improvements and will be bumped to version 9.6. IPhoto has also been given an update, although compared to the other two it isn’t as big. iMovie has also been updated to 10.0.6 with a new look, new file export options, and also the allowing of HD clips to be sent over email via the iCloud Mail Drop feature. The app will gain access to audio effect plug-ins and new voice templates, a virtual Bass Amp Designer, and will also gain access to Yosemite’s iCloud support which allows users to share projects via Mail Drop. GarageBand will be updated to 10.0.3 and will introduce a slightly tweaked user interface. With the update to iLife, Apple has introduced new designs to the apps, new features, as well as official support for OS X 10.10 Yosemite. The iLife suite, for those unfamiliar, consists of apps such as iMovie, iPhoto, and GarageBand.
